Design notes for SKU 8908

Axial magnetization places the poles on the two 1-inch circular faces. Align the pole face with the intended steel target, and allow clearance in the housing instead of forcing the disk into a tight bore. Secure the assembly and control attraction during installation.

Check the complete assembly at the intended air gap and loading direction. Listed pull force is a comparison value, not a safe working load; target steel thickness, contact area and surface condition affect actual holding force. Provide clearance in the housing and protect the brittle magnet from impact during installation.

The listed maximum temperature is 80°C. Evaluate the complete magnetic circuit at the intended operating temperature, including opposing fields and required performance. Check any adhesive or housing material against its own limits. Use controlled handling and keep the plated or coated surface protected during assembly.
