Design notes for SKU 8950

Orient a circular pole face toward the steel target or mating magnet. Include any housing wall or adhesive layer in the working gap, and validate the field at the actual sensing location if this disk is used with a sensor.

Check the complete assembly at the intended air gap and loading direction. Listed pull force is a comparison value, not a safe working load; target steel thickness, contact area and surface condition affect actual holding force. Provide clearance in the housing and protect the brittle magnet from impact during installation.

The listed maximum temperature is 80°C. Evaluate the complete magnetic circuit at the intended operating temperature, including opposing fields and required performance. Check any adhesive or housing material against its own limits. Use controlled handling and keep the plated or coated surface protected during assembly.

Compare magnetic strength and temperature classes in our neodymium grades chart. Explore gap effects using the pull-force calculator, or send your drawing, operating conditions and volume through the Magnet RFQ Builder.
