What “201 lb Pull” Means

The 201.1 lb value is a pull-off rating under defined test conditions against a suitable ferromagnetic target. It is not a universal safe working load. Real holding force can be reduced by paint, coatings, air gap, thin or saturated steel, uneven contact, curvature, vibration and especially shear loading.
