Design notes for this slender rod magnet

Orient an end face toward the intended target or sensor and account for the distance to the active sensing location. A listed surface field is a reference at the magnet surface; verify the field at the actual working distance. Check the small diameter and its tolerance against the mounting bore before selecting this part.

Check the complete assembly at the intended air gap and loading direction. Listed pull force is a comparison value, not a safe working load; target steel thickness, contact area and surface condition affect actual holding force. Provide clearance in the housing and protect the brittle magnet from impact during installation.

Support the slender rod along its housing and avoid bending or forcing it into an interference fit. Protect the plated surface and ends during assembly. The listed maximum temperature is 80°C; validate any adhesive and the complete magnetic circuit at the intended conditions.
