SKU 8071: N42H neodymium disk magnet, 4.5 mm diameter × 1.5 mm thick, diametrically magnetized and rated to 120°C / 248°F. Ni-Cu-Ni coated with a listed 0.93 lb pull force and 3,607.07 Gauss surface field.
Its side-to-side pole orientation suits compact sensor, encoder and rotational-position applications.
SKU 8071 is a compact N42H neodymium disk magnet measuring 4.5 mm diameter × 1.5 mm thick. Unlike an axially magnetized disk, its north and south poles sit on opposite curved sides of the diameter. This side-to-side field orientation is commonly selected for rotational sensing, encoder and position-detection assemblies.

The N42H grade combines strong magnetic output with a listed maximum temperature of 120°C / 248°F. Actual usable temperature depends on the magnetic circuit, air gap, operating point and exposure time, so validate the magnet in the complete assembly when working near its temperature limit.
The listed 0.93 lb pull force is a comparison value under defined contact conditions, not a guaranteed safe working load. Air gap, target-steel thickness, coating, surface roughness and shear loading can reduce usable force.
Use the Magnet Pull Force Calculator for preliminary magnet-to-steel screening or the Neodymium Magnet Grade Chart when comparing N42H with other temperature classes and energy grades.
