N35SH neodymium block magnet, 2 × 2 × 1 inch, Ni-Cu-Ni plated and magnetized through the 2-inch width. Listed pull force: 240.19 lb. SKU 8621.

Through-width magnetization places the poles on the opposing 2 × 1-inch faces. The SH grade provides a higher listed temperature capability than standard N35 for assemblies where heat is a material-selection factor.

Design and assembly guidance

Plan controlled handling and secure fixtures for this large block. Maintain clearance from steel and other magnets to avoid sudden attraction and pinching. Verify pole orientation and working gap in the complete assembly, and provide adequate support without forcing the block into a tight mounting pocket.

Listed pull force is a comparison value rather than a safe working load. Target steel thickness, air gaps, coatings, alignment and loading direction affect actual retention. Test the complete assembly under its intended conditions before production. Protect the brittle magnet from impact and avoid an interference fit that could chip or crack it.

The listed maximum magnet temperature is 150°C. Allowable operation depends on the magnetic circuit, opposing fields and required performance. Validate the assembled device at its intended temperature and check adhesives and housing materials against their own limits.

Compare materials in our neodymium grades chart, explore working gaps with the pull-force calculator, and browse related magnet sizes. Send drawings, operating conditions and quantities through the Magnet RFQ Builder for application-specific sourcing.
