SKU 9208 is an N35SH neodymium block magnet measuring 1.8 × 1.5 × 1 inch, with Ni-Cu-Ni plating. It is magnetized through the 1.5-inch width, placing its poles on the opposing 1.8 × 1-inch faces. The SH grade provides a higher listed temperature capability than standard N35 for assemblies where heat is a selection factor.

Design notes for this large N35SH block

Use the pole orientation when positioning the block relative to a steel target or another magnet. Its large size and listed 201.84 lb pull require controlled handling, secure fixtures and clearance to avoid sudden attraction and pinching. Neodymium is brittle; protect edges from impact and avoid forcing the block into a tight press fit.

The listed pull force is a comparison value, not a safe working load. Actual force depends on target steel, air gap, contact area, alignment and load direction. Test the complete assembly under its intended conditions. The listed 150°C maximum is a material selection reference; allowable operating temperature also depends on the magnetic circuit, external fields and required performance.

Compare magnetic strength and temperature classes in our neodymium grades chart. Explore gap effects using the pull-force calculator, or send your drawing, operating conditions and volume through the Magnet RFQ Builder.
