Over the past few months we’ve been heads-down building out radialmagnet.com — adding new engineering tools, faster ways to get quotes and CAD files, a self-serve compliance center, and a much deeper library of technical resources. If you haven’t been back to the site in a while, here’s a rundown of what’s new.

Five New Engineering Calculators

We’ve added five more free tools to help you validate a design or spec a magnet before you ever pick up the phone:

  • Magnet Price Estimator — Enter your shape, dimensions, grade, coating, and quantity tier to get a budgetary $/unit range instantly, with a one-click handoff to request a formal quote.
  • Magnetic Shielding Calculator — Work backward from a known field strength and a target residual field to the mu-metal or low-carbon steel enclosure thickness you’ll need, for both spherical and cylindrical geometries.
  • Magnet-to-Magnet Force Calculator — Model attraction or repulsion between two magnets — coaxial discs/cylinders or face-to-face blocks, same size or different — instead of relying on a single generic formula.
  • Pot Magnet Holding-Force Estimator — Get a rule-of-thumb holding-force range for pot/cup assemblies, accounting for cup quality, air gap, surface condition, and direct vs. shear loading.
  • Tolerance Stack-Up Calculator — Run a general N-segment dimension chain (worst-case and RSS) or use the built-in magnet-in-bore/pocket preset to check clearance and fit before you finalize a design.

All five join our existing suite of pull force, size selector, grade comparison, temperature derating, unit conversion, and Halbach array tools — now organized in one place in the new Engineering Toolkit, a redesigned hub that groups every calculator, configurator, and reference tool by what you’re trying to do: size and select, design and fit, cost and source, configure, or learn.

Faster Sourcing and Quoting

  • CAD Download Center — Pull STEP, STL, and DXF files plus PDF drawings directly for standard parts, no request form required.
  • Bulk RFQ — Submit multi-line, multi-spec requests for quote in one pass instead of one part at a time.
  • Magnet Designer — Build a custom magnet interactively, from a quick basic configurator to a full-featured advanced designer.
  • Sample Request Form — Request physical samples of standard parts directly from the site.

A Self-Serve Compliance Document Center

Need a signed RoHS, REACH, or conflict minerals statement for your supplier file? The new Magnet Compliance Document Center lets you instantly download our standard compliance statements, or request a signed and dated copy for parts that need one. It also walks through when you need a company-wide statement versus part-specific documentation like a PPAP.

A Much Bigger Resource Library

  • Magnets 101 and Magnets 201 — Comprehensive reference guides covering the fundamentals through advanced magnet engineering topics.
  • 45-Term Technical Glossary — Searchable, so you can look up a spec or term the moment it comes up.
  • Knowledge Base and an expanded Resources hub, now with 34 guides covering materials, design, and sourcing.
  • Sintered vs. Bonded NdFeB — A side-by-side comparison to help you pick the right manufacturing process for your application.

Industry-Specific Solutions Pages

We’ve built out dedicated pages for the industries we serve most, each covering the magnet challenges and requirements specific to that application: medical devices, EV/automotive, industrial automation, robotics, wind, food processing, pumps and HVAC couplings, oil and gas, and material handling. We’ve also published in-depth buyer’s guides — with downloadable PDF versions — for EV/automotive, medical device, and defense/aerospace sourcing teams.

Easier to Navigate

Finally, we redesigned the site’s mega menu so all of this — calculators, CAD and RFQ tools, compliance documents, guides, and industry pages — is easier to find no matter where you land on the site.
